Cheney is in the news a lot lately due to his book. Ah the good old days. He wouldn't "pray the gay" out of his daughter. That what waterboarding is for.

NoNo Congress
So if a deity, let's say Jesus, came back with a host of angels and offered to help with Homeland Security, would the Republicans vote it down because the bill was submitted by Obama? Well I hope his jobs bills coming fare better!

Prey!
We need brain eating zombies for Bachmann's husband's clinic so that he can "Prey the gay out" of his patients.
Ron Paul
I like Ron Paul's plans for military spending and pulling back our troops and bases all over the world but if this libertarian in Republican clothing got elected, what things could he actually get passed. The idea of getting rid of Federal departments (he's against FEMA and just about every Federal department such as education, food & health etc.) may sound good when you're mad at big government but it seems tremendously impractical and invite chaos where we now complain about over-regulation. So what could he pass?
Obama jobs track
Appointing a labor expert to his top economist position and promising a jobs plan next week seems very promising. Click here for the article. With the right yelling about balancing the budget with no specific jobs plans, maybe this will help turn the debate to our primary issue: JOBS (Steve Jobs -- oh wait that's not it).
Jobs!
MSNBC suggests that the administration is pondering whether to go "big" on a jobs bill or do smaller bills that would have more chance of passing. Click here for the blog. There is no chance that our "NO NO" republican congress will vote for anything substantial so this answer seems rather obvious if you actually want to get anything done.
Daily Dumbest Headline
A few news sites had the headline that Cheney says (in his book) that the war in Iraq didn't hurt our reputation in the world. Well it might have helped a reputation that if you get on our bad side that we will destroy you. After 9/11 we had tremendous inflow of sympathy and good feeling from the rest of the world. When we invaded a Muslim country because of violation of UN regulations, where the UN did not want us to do this, we wiped out any positive reputation that we had gained and showed that we were a power to be feared. Articles yesterday talked about Cheney still being very positive about using torture for interrogation. Remind me why he isn't a war criminal?
Perry is a contradiction on foreign interventions
At a speech this week Perry claimed he was against military adventurism but this appears to just be lip service to unpopular buzz words because he went on to suggest that we need to take the fight to the enemy where "vital interests are threatened". Like the flow of oil? Or a strategic geographic position? Click here for an article on the speech.
Gamer Computer?
Most computers these days are very fast and can do anything a normal person wants except to play the best games. What separates a gamer pc from that jalopy you might have is the video card and possibly a SSD (solid state hard drive) for some games and/or your Windows installation directory. The SSD is two or more times faster than a normal hard drive and will load things much quicker. You don't want a low end processor so go for an Intel i3, i5 or i7 or an AMD x4 (or higher like x6 etc.). A great guide for what parts you might look for in a PC is at PC Perspective. Click here for the "leaderboard" guide where they list parts they'd recommend for how much you want to spend. Their lowest end computer is probably fine for any but the most hard core gamer.

Anti-Muslim propaganda
A small group of moderately funded individuals are spreading anti-Muslim propaganda about a phoney totalitarian threat of Islam taking over here. Click here for the report. The absurdity is that Western Civilization (European and US cultures) are making major inroads all over the world since WWII. Russia, China and people everywhere look to our movies and TV with envy for the middle-class lifestyle: a home, car, spouse, kids and nice things. That concept is winning out everywhere as something to hope for. The boot to come stomping down is one wearing blue jeans and carrying Hershey bar and not some Islamic law in our schools. It's absurd.
Perry & Bachmann may be putting God into everything
Both candidates have some ties to Dominionism. They believe that Christians have the right to rule and that old testament laws should be injected into the law. Click here for the article.
Daily Dumbest Headline
I see often that the PC is dead. I love smart phones and tablets but please. There is nothing like reading the news off my 42" monitor with a i5 processor and killer Radeon graphics card. My kids don't fall far from the tree and spend way too much time looking at their 24" screens.
Kindle
My wife just gave me her old Kindle and I have to say that it is SO easy to read with that thing.
Perry supports more defense spending
Balancing the budget isn't important when a candidate has some imperial agenda. Bush argued against adventurism in his campaign talk and Perry has done the same. But his book tells another story. He rails against a cut during Clinton's time and says that he would fight to increase spending. This may make sense to a guy that packs heat but is insanity for our Federal budget. We spend as much as the rest of the world combined (click here for the info. on that). Our neighbors are Canada and Mexico. We need to pull back our hundreds of thousands of troops deployed all over the world, including Iraq (50k) and Afghanistan (125k) and cut the military budget to something sane. Like spending as much per capita as Russia or Britain. We are on a war footing as if WWII never ended. Perry would be part of this problem.
Perry is a promise-breaker
In the preface to his book, Perry said; "Now, cynics will say that I decided to write this book because I seek higher office. They are wrong: I already have the greatest job in America."
The Tea Party Hates your Employee Rights
The Tea Party attacks all things "Progressive". People and Unions fought, bled, died and were jailed to win you those "Progressive" rights. The right always yelled, "Socialist, Commie!!" Things were different and sometimes horrible in the good old days where you got hurt and were fired and starved to death. But does anyone want to throw away worker's comp, unemployment, vacation pay, minimum wage, overtime, social security and medicare?
Rick Perry hates Social Security
People fear that SS may fail from fiscal irresponsibility or aging population demographics but it might be from your vote instead. Perry says in his book that it's a Ponzi scheme (yeah like they knew of our aging demographics back then) and unconstitutional (that's just wrong). Maybe he carries that gun to give the final blessings for seniors? We already had Elmer Fudd as president. Do we want Yosemite Sam?
Science!
Bachman says that tea parties have common sense. But she and Perry dismiss evolution as a theory and Perry says global warming is a lie. Do we want scientific dunces as President? What sort of laws and regulatory enforcement will we have? Is the GOP the party of anti-science? Click here for a NY Times editorial laying this out.
Where's the beef?
Bachmann recently said that if elected that she'd make gas under $2/gallon. She didn't mention how. There will be a chicken in every pot too! And that chicken will costs $1!
Rick Perry: Big Government Man
Rick Perry wants to put morality in the Federal Government and Constitution. What happened to state's rights? Only when it suits him. This is the same sort of #*!@( we get from politicians all the time. They say they are for something and then when it suits them, they do what they previously railed out.
Perry wants to have a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. If you want big brother watching your bed, vote for Perry! Click here for the story.

Bachmann says GOD is going to get you
Bachmann says that God is doing the hurricanes to send us a message. Probably to vote for her? She says that tea partiers have common sense and follow the constitution. This in the same breath as saying that God is out to get D.C. with hurricanes? I'm not religious and normally I don't mind our leaders being religious but when they attribute their tummy ache to God's judgment, I have to say that rationality has left the building. Most people live the same lives with or without religion but if their decisions are based on some random interpretation of God acting out on earth, there is no sense to what they are doing. Here's a link to the story.
